The Fort Worth After School Music Academy (FWASMA) empowers students to discover their voice and achieve excellence through the transformative power of music.

We will build a vibrant, inclusive community where every student, regardless of background or experience, has access to high-quality music education.

Private Lessons

Students may enroll in private instruction in guitar, piano, or voice. Each student’s weekly private lesson session is one hour and includes:

  • 30 minutes of individual instruction and practice with their teacher

  • 30 minutes of music theory-based education

In addition to private instruction, students enrolled in guitar or piano will participate in a separate one-hour weekly studio class. These group classes allow students to strengthen their skills, learn alongside other young musicians, and gain experience performing in an ensemble setting.

Monthly tuition is $275 for the first student and $100 per month for each additional child in the same family. Tuition includes:

  • Weekly private instruction and music theory

  • A weekly studio class for guitar or piano students

  • The opportunity to audition for the FWASMA After-School Choir

  • The opportunity to be in the Dorothy Shaw Bell Choir

There is no additional tuition charge for students selected to participate in the After-School Choir or Dorothy Shaw Bell Choir.
